Study: Where Is The King?

Peace,

Where is the King? This is a study that has been placed on my heart while praying. I heard the still small voice saying, "where is the King?" Well, we know Jesus is not in any earthly kingdom. We do not see HIM sitting on a throne with a crown upon HIS head nor do we see HIM parading up and down the streets. So, where is the King?

Jesus said to the Pharisees.. Luke 17:20,2120 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

There would be no physical "observation" when the kingdom of God would come. Jesus said, "the kingdom of God is within you." So, why are so many looking and waiting for a physical kingdom on earth?

Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

We know Jesus is not speaking of a physical kingdom in verse 1. Jesus said, " those standing would not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. What power is this?

Acts 1:8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Let's read some very important scripture regarding this power Jesus spoke of and it's purpose. Luke 24:45-4945 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.48 And ye are witnesses of these things.49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

The Holy Spirit empowered the apostles to preach repentance and remission of sins in Jesus name among all nations beginning in Jerusalem. Jesus said, "ye are witnesses of these things." But... "tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with the power from on high."

Jesus IS the King of HIS kingdom. Where does HE rule from? Psalm 110:1110 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. John 18:3636 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Friends, Jesus' kingdom is not of this world. This is why HE spoke, "if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews:"

Jesus' kingdom is a Spiritual kingdom that come not with observation. The kingdom of God is within you. Why are people waiting for Christ to come when HE is already here???

Jesus is not forming armies. Jesus came to save the lost. HE came to save the sinners of this world. He came that we may have eternal life. Jesus came to earth as a high priest and HE offered HIS life as a ransom for US!! What is left to do?? It is now up to YOU!

To enter the kingdom Jesus said, John 3:5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:1515 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:3131 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

Where is the King? Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; Hebrews 8:2828 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Revelation 19:11-1311 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

In HIM with love,
Cassie
