"Cast Down"

Peace,

As you know I have two sheep. They are two wethered rams that just turned one. While out the other night doing errands my husband and I returned home to find Abe one of our sheep on it's side with it's legs out straight. As soon as we saw him we thought he was dead.

The closer I got to Abe the more still he seemed. His buddy Zeb was right behind him laying down as if he was watching over him or comforting him. I climbed over the fence and then Abe moved. Phew!! The only thing was Abe could not get up. He was what they say "cast down" I researched to see why this happened to Abe and what I read I thought was not by coincidence and decided to share it with you.

Abe we have discovered is overladened with wool which will be coming off Tuesday. Thank you Jesus for this find. Amen.

WOE!  WOE!
We have walked into the valley of cast sheep

The sheep have strayed from the Shepherd and have grown weary and laid down.
They have rolled over and become cast, and they cannot rise.

The sheep have wandered into the valley away from the Shepherd.  Their independance has made them tired.
They seek to lie, and in lying down and becoming comfortable they become cast.
Some are overladen with wool, the wool is caked with the dirt - the sins of this world.
The weight of the dirty wool pulls it down.  It rolls over and becomes cast.
It cannot control itself, its feet flip in the air and it becomes cast.

When a sheep becomes cast the gases of its stomach build up in its rumen and the pressure builds and
cuts off circulation.  The Blood cannot do its job, and the sheep perishs.

BLEAT!  BLEAT!
The Shepherd will come if the sheep cry out.  The sheep must call out - before they die.
The Shepherd will come and right them, hold them up until the pressure is disipated and strength returns to the legs.
He will pick up the sheep and carry it back to the herd.

Jesus is The Shepherd.  His sheep MUST CALL HIM when they know they are helpless.
His sheep need never become cast - if they will stay close to The Shepherd.
CALL HIM!  Before you die!

People go to church.  They do what they think is their religious duty, and they leave,
touching no one and allowing no one to touch them, not even the LORD.

In HIM with love,
Cassie
