Matthew 12:43-45 " Then goeth he, and taketh with himself, seven other spirits more wiked than himself"

May the Peace of Christ be with you.....

I am led by the Holy Spirit to bring hearing to the deaf and sight to the blind. Jesus is speaking a parable here. He is speaking about HIs rejection among the people and what will happen.

We will start with Matthew 12:43 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none."

This un-clean spirit is a demon who leaves a man and searches for a place to find his rest. Another man he can rest in. This demon leaves this man on it's own and searches for another man to rest in. But on his "journey" he finds no dry place. the unclean spirit doesn't find what he's looking for. So....

verse 44 " Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out: and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished."

This un-clean spirit is calling the man he left, His house. He has claimed this mans vessel.  The un-clean sprit finds this man empty. He's trying to live a better life and he's trying to represent himself as clean. The un-clean spirit decides to come back and occupy this man.  But before he does.....

Verse 45 "Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation."

The unclean spirit takes seven other spirits more wicked than himself to enter and dwell in this man. And this man is now worse than before. He now has seven other spirits tearing him down. They start destroying this man. He becomes more wicked then ever before.

So, why did the unclean spirit leave his dwelling place to begin with? And why did he go back to the "house" he claimed to be his?

The unclean spirit wasn't cast out. It left on it's own, only to return with seven more worse than he was. But the man he left had only made changes in his life that were temporary. He cleaned up his act a little bit, changed his outward appearance, maybe did some "good" works, BUT he was still lacking.. He was void of the Holy Spirit. He was not living a righteous life for God and Jesus was not His LORD. He didn't stop sinning.

Jesus warns us over and over with these word. John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

" Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee" I can tell you this. Jesus is not a liar and must be taken seriously. This parable is a warning. I pray for those who want to see can and who want to hear do. I pray today you surrender your life to Jesus and serve the one true God.

In Christ,
Cassie
