Study: And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud:

      I am led to do another study. I ask that you pray for understanding. In Jesus name. Amen.

Let's start where I was led first. Revelation 10:1-4 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

² And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,³ And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

⁴ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

John said, "I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud" "another mighty angel" Please seek understanding on who this is. Many believe it is Jesus. That is not my belief after studying and seeking truth through scripture. Let's look at Revelation 22:16 ¹⁶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

 We see that clouds in the Bible that are associated with the coming of Christ are often symbolic of judgment. That this angel comes “down from heaven” indicates the judgment it brings is from God. 

Let's read on in verse 1. "and a rainbow was upon his head," We see in Revelation 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a carnelian stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in appearance like unto an emerald. We know that a rainbow is symbolic of God's covenant. God keeping HIS word of both promises and judgments. This verse being judgment. Amen?!?!

 "and his face was as it were the sun",Let's look at Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in its strength. The angels countenance is like the Shekinah glory. 


"and his feet as pillars of fire:" This angel was mighty and coming from God sent on a very important mission. He would be strong and powerful. This reminds me of the cloud that led the Israelites out of Egypt by day and by night a pillar of fire. 

Let's move on to verse 2. " And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth," The angel receives authority from God to take the little book that was opened and he plants his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the earth. Is this God's judgment coming upon the earth? Is God coming to take back what is rightfully HIS?


Verse 3 reads "³ And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices." This voice is very powerful and will receive attention. Think of a lion in the jungle. I am sure all heads turn his way.

" seven thunders that utter their voices." Is this God? I believe so. This thundering was separate from the Angel crying with a loud voice.

Moving on... verse 4. ⁴ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. We know that in the beginning of the book of Revelation John was told to write down all he saw and heard. However, when it came to what the seven thunders uttered John was told to seal up those things and write them not.
