Armageddon: What Is The War???

Peace,

I am led to give you something to think and pray about. I ask that the Holy Spirit guide you in all truth. In Jesus name. Amen.

Is Armageddon a literal place? Is it that all believers are or have participated in Armageddon? 

Does the spirit of Satan enter into the unbelievers? Does he go and make war against those who have the testimony of Jesus Christ? 

Let's look at Rev 12:17 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

We see in the above verse the dragon (Satan) is wroth with the woman (believers) and goes to make war with the remnant of her seed. The believers who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

So, is this war Armageddon a war between nations? I myself do not believe so. Or is it the war between Satan and his followers and God and HIS?
