And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

Peace,

I was led to read Luke 24 this evening and do a study. The still small voice was going to "show" me something. I have read Luke 24  many times but not until tonight were my eyes opened like the two men that were sitting with Jesus and did not know it. UNTIL...

While walking with Jesus the eyes of the two men on the road to Emmaus verse 16 says, "But their eyes were holden that they should not know him"

BUT we see in Luke 24:30-3130 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Luke 24:35 35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

We then see that Jesus sits down again later that night, was HE still hungry or was HE telling the apostles something important? Let's look at what Jesus says to the apostles and the others that were with them.

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

The WORD is our BREAD!!!! The BREAD symbolizes JESUS who IS the BREAD of life. "He who comes to me shall not hunger"
Amen?!

Jesus answered, Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Let's read what it says in John 1 verse In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

We must live our lives as Christ lived HIS. HE said," These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you,"

I will end with Ephesians 5 "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word," The WORD IS GOD!!!

In HIM with love,
Cassie
