What does the bible say about hell??? This is a subject that has been placed on my heart. There is one scripture that stands out whenever I am prompted to seek answers on this subject. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
Let's look at Matthew 25:34-46 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
The King folks... Jesus is speaking of the King(himself). The King will say, "unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:"
Who is the King speaking of? The hungry, the thirsty, the homeless, the naked, the sick and those in prison.
What is the King saying? "Verily I say unto you Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." The King is saying when you feed the hungry and give drink to those who are thirsty and you share your home with the homeless and you give clothes to the naked and you nurse the sick and you visit those in prison you are doing this to HIM. Amen !?!??!
Then the King will say to those on HIS left hand who have not done these things. "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"
Wow, these are powerful words from the King!! Why is the King saying this? " For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty and you gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not."
Then the people answered the King, saying, " Lord when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?"
Then shall the King answer them, " Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
Then the King said to those who did it not to one of the least of these, " And these shall go away unto everlasting punishment: but the righteous into eternal life."
Thank you Jesus for this study. Amen!
Let me ask you the readers this. Are you making excuses as to why you cannot feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, give shelter to the homeless, clothe the naked, take care of the sick, and see those in prison?
I know in my own personal life I have family members who cannot even do these things for their Mother with Alzheimer's or for family members who are in need. They make excuses and fulfill the desires of their flesh buying cars and gambling and taking care of their own self gratifications by justifying their excuses. Yet, they are not aware of the grave danger they are in.
Father God have mercy.
In Jesus name with love,
Cassie
