Study: John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Peace,

   I pray the Holy Spirit gives you eyes to see and ears to hear. In Jesus name amen.

Jesus is God. Jesus was not created. HE was born to a Virgin and there was no sexual relations with a man. Amen?! Let's look at this deeper.

Paul in a letter to the church at Colossae, explains the relationship between God the Father and the creation. Paul describes Christ as the firstborn of creation not of God and not eternal. However, Christ cannot be both the creator and the created. So what is Paul saying?

Let's look at John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Let's look at the letter Paul wrote to Colossae. Colossians 1:15-21 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

Jesus' relationship with the Father begins with verse 15.  15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Jesus IS the image of the invisible God. Image means copy or likeness. Jesus IS God. Let's look at Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Jesus being described here to be the express "image" of his person. Amen!?!?

The invisible God became visible in Jesus. Amen?! Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Let's return to what Paul was saying. Paul says Jesus was, " the firstborn of every creature" God created the world through Christ as we see in verse 16 and all things were redeemed through Christ. Amen!?!?

Hebrews 1:2-4Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Jesus created the world, saved the world and rules the world. Amen!?!? Matthew 28:18,19 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

In Jesus name with love,
Cassie
