Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you

Peace,

I am led to continue the study from yesterday. Let's start in Matthew 21:28-3228 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Jesus speaking, "A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first" The man asked his first son to go work in the field. The first son replied, "I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. The father came to his second son and said likewise. The second son said, " I do, sir: and went not." Which one did the will of his father? They replied, "The first." Are you like the first or the second son?

Let's continue in Luke 10:38-42 38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Jesus entered into a village and a certain woman name Martha received Him into her house. She had a sister Mary. Mary sat at Jesus' feet and listened to His word. But Martha was too busy. Jesus said, "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:" Martha could not just sit with Jesus and listen to Him as Mary did. Jesus  said, "Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Are you like Mary or Martha?

In Jesus name with love,
Cassie
