Peace,
I have had Revelation 8 placed on my heart but was not led to write anything until now. I pray the Holy Spirit guides you in all truth. In Jesus name. Amen.
I am not one as you know who gets caught up in the rapture, blood moons or earthquakes and such. I am aware of these things but I am not led to focus on them.
I am led to share with you what has been shown to me through scripture pertaining to Wormwood. Let's look.
Revelation 8:11 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
What is the star? Psalm 147:4 4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
What are the waters? Revelation 17:5 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
What else does scripture tell us about Wormwood? Jeremiah 9:13 And the Lord saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:15 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
"Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them"
Deuteronomy 29:18,19 18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
Jesus said, Matthew 5:17,18 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
1John 2:3-7 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
Wormwood will not only fall upon unbelievers but believers as well. This bitterness can be made sweet. See below.
(*)2 Kings 4: 39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.41 But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
(*)Exodus 15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

(*)What was the tree that made the waters sweet? Was it the cross???Did Jesus turn bitter to sweetness by His death on the cross? Is this what is the bitterness the rejection of Christ?
Please pray on this. Is Wormwood a spirit that falls on the unbelievers and believers (the waters) to make them bitter?
In Jesus name with love,
Cassie

Sister, this was an excellent study and word. So very encouraging! Amen!
And could this 'water' fall upon the lukewarm in Christ causing them to 'wax cold'. Oh FATHER help us to understand YOU.
Blessings!
