The question the disciples asked Jesus was, " what will be the sign of your coming?"
Let's see what Jesus tells them. But before we do that let's ask ourselves a couple questions. Why would the disciples be asking Jesus about HIS coming at that time? Why would they be so concerned IF it was something that was not nigh and at the door. Let's see what scripture says.
Israel had not fallen to the Roman Empire as of yet. But between AD 66-70 the war had begun. Deuteronomy 28:49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
Luke 21:20 20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. The next few verses in Zechariah continue to back this scripture.
Zechariah 14:1-5 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee
The day of the LORD was coming when?? Luke 21:27 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Why was the LORD coming? To judge every man from Adam to the day of his death. Jesus was also coming to raise the righteous.
Folks, man has distorted the minds of those seeking to know truth. The Roman Catholic Church has made more money taking advantage of those who were seeking answers about Jesus. They lied. They MANipulated the followers by telling them of "second coming" it is a lie. Jesus came when HE said HE would. So many sitting in the pews today are like the Jews. They are waiting for Christ to come. HE CAME AS HE SAID HE WOULD IN THE CLOUDS OF JUDGMENT!!
The RCC has lied about the Second Coming and Penance and Hell. Please STOP believing these lies. "Come out of her my people, be not partakers of her sins" Rev. 18:4
Deuteronomy 28 says that God would bring a nation against Jerusalem. Rome was that nation that came from the end of the earth. The eagle would swoop down. While watching many biblical movies I noticed that the Roman Empire's symbol was the Eagle. Now I know why.

Let's get to the coming... What generation would see all these things come to pass including Jesus' second coming? "this generation" Jesus said THIS GENERATION. Not one two thousand years from when Jesus was speaking to HIS generation at that time.
Who is it that will mourn?? The tribes of the earth! Zechariah 12:10-12
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
Matthew 25:31 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Jesus said, Matthew 16:28 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Matthew 24:30 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
To deny that Matthew 16:28 has not yet taken place is to deny that Jesus is reigning in HIS kingdom today.

Hebrews 9:28 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Christ reigns TODAY ! Amen . Christ came during the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD in judgment. May you have freedom NOW!
